I try to pull up my directx screen by opening dxdiag in run but it says the file can not be found. I've also tried dxdiag.exe but it's also a no go. Is there an alternate way to open dxdiag? I've even tried searching for dxdiag. D;

You could try entering the full patch in the run box:

c:\windows\system32\dxdiag.exe

You might need to install an updated DX9 runtime to get dxdiag. What version and service pack of Windows are you running?

For some reason I don't have "dxdiag.exe" in my system32 folders... but the other directx files seem to be there.

I have directx 9.0c and windows SP2 installed.

The dxdiag in my system32 folder came with SP2:

08/04/2004 05:00 AM 1,298,432 dxdiag.exe

Strange that you don't have it.

Hmm I manually had to drag out the dxdiag.exe from the installer file, strange how it didn't install it. Anyways I got it to work but it doesn't seem to recognize my audio driver for some reason. Maybe that's why my Quake4 won't launch during startup D;
