Guys,
Wonder if you can help with a wired situation my brother and I are having.
My brother buys a lot of CDs and music DVD's. Anyway he phoned mw to say he tried playing one of his U2 Live in concert DVDs and he got no audio. He tried another musics DVD (a Bowie collection) and no audio again. Popped in a standard DVD movie and hey presto he had sound, and another and another. But most of his concert/music DVD's zilch.
Please note these are not DVD-A disks.
I then tried it on my setup using some of his DVD's ( I dont own any music DVD's) and I got the same result.
Our setups are similar, both using the standard built in audio on my laptop and his PC running through Media Player with the Purevideo and AC3 codecs. I tried changing the speaker setup in AC3 to Prologic etc. to no avail.
We even tried changing the audio options in the root menu of the DVD. But nothing.
Any suggestions?
