DVD Burner Media?

burn speeds and compatibility.

yea i must say google is one great site and its great for many things but whenever i search for this topic all i get is sites selling dvd media. So if someone knows a site that lists the differences clearly that would be awesome! Thanks
 
There is really no difference. They hold the same amount of media/space.

-R is more compatible for older units.

+R is read by newer units. So +R might not work (might get a disc read error) on older units.

Units being anything that plays DVDs (DVD Players and such)

.....there are differences, but they may or may not matter. I've been using -R's with no issues.
