I havent been able to talk to him he seems to avoid me he said my laptop was coming here today via ups and he sent me a tracking number that DOESNT EXIST IN UPS TRACKING he said it was an error so me like an idiot believes him and I dont have a laptop I sent him a laptop and $230 in a money order he wont talk to me even tho he said he would be on around 4 to talk to me I have messaged him also MULTIPLE times in MULTIPLE different ways and he wont even try to contact me is there anything I can do call authorities etc?

I believe him NOT to be trusted since he ruses you to think hes nice and stabs you in the back like this and he makes excuse after excuse

Dustjed if you see this I will take every action to talking to you so you better respond to me
 
Reverse payment immediately if posible.

If it was a check, find out if it has been cashed. If it hasn't, cancel it. You can also cancel money order payments (I think), but I don't know if you can check to see if they've been cashed or not.

Anyways, I'd call the cops tomorrow. I'm not sure if they'll let you file a report or anything so soon, but if you can, they will probably try to talk you out of it with something along the lines of, "it's only been a day, I'd wait a few days to see what happens," but don't let them talk you out of it if you are legally allowed to file anything against this guy.

If you do magically get a package from UPS or something, get two neighbors with you to witness you opening it or if you're there when the UPS guy comes have him witness it.

You might also want to try contacting the two people that posted negative heat evals on him and see if they'd go along with filing a report or something if you get the ball rolling.

Normally, I'd say just wait a few days (like the police would tell you to do), but it seems like this would be bad advice given the circumstances:

1. His only positive evals on heat were from almost two years ago
2. His only recent evals are negative
3. The bogus UPS tracking information

As a side note, it would be better to just go the police/authority route to prevent him possibly getting an injunction against you for harassment. I'd try contacting him one more time 30 minutes before you actually file the police reports etc to give it another chance, but if that turns up nada i'd turn it over.
 
Man, should've asked for heatware before doing anything with him. Tough luck hope it all works out.

QFT. Jeez, I'm a strong advocate for harsh punishment against trolls, but damn, folks need to put at least some minimal effort to make it a safe trade. When it is so blatently obvious the OP didn't put any effort into reading or following the rules, trading tips, and just plain common sense, It's hard to sympathize.

Sorry OP, I hope you get your money back, I don't mean to imply you deserve to get ripped off, but maybe you should research and lurk online trading more before trying again. :eek:
 
UPS problem mates. calm down. he is going to get his stuff back because they dropped my laptop and couldnt get ahold of me. :mad:
 
Thank god it got resolved, I always preer USPS now :) It's faster IMO!

He may have been buying for time to cash your MO before you had a chance to cancel it. His heat definitely should have been a deterrent against dealing with him. Good luck. If possible, file a mail fraud if the MO was a USPS MO and you end up not receiving your product. Also, contact trollhunters.com as well as his PD.
 
I went to cancel it at the post office wouldnt let me they said I had to wait 60 days to file a claim
 
the guy said he sent back my money order didnt see it saturday so I have to wait till tuesday to see if its there also he said he would send me $250 in paypal I have yet to see so he owes me $480..
 
Ever notice that, when backed into a corner and being questioned, the magic answer (from anyone) seems to always be "UPS messed up".
 
If ups acualy did drop your laptop you would have some form that you would be able to prove that they screwed up.
 
Just file a mail fraud report. Call up his local authorities and get the ball rolling on this guy.

2 Weeks running around in circles = You're being trolled.

well his failure to contact me I filed reports to the FBI and USPS Post Master concerning mail fraud this can be avoided if he pays me the settlement of the money $500 if not he has committed a federal crime and therefor prison :D :D
 
Whats funny is if you google his username you can see on the anandtech's userlist that he stole that laptop that he was selling you.
 
I've sent many items through UPS and they can hardly mess up if you do everything properly.
 
yea I would glady pay $500 instead of fines and going to jail but I guess its what this guy wants
