okay, here's my dumb question of the day. i have a XPpro destop, and my friend has a IBM laptop running Windows XP pro as well. (but the laptop uses Novell Netware; when you go into 'my network places' it displays "Novell Connections") >> i know nothing about novell netware << i have a crossover cable, and all i want to do is move files from my comp to his laptop. we're both in the same workgroup, but nothin's showin... what's the deal?!

on the novell ogin screen there should be a check box that says "workstation only" that will allow you to bypass the netwware login and logon to the workstation only. make sure he has tcp/ip setup and file print sharing. novell login should not affect this setup.
