dual core opt 175 never starts folding?

its been staying this way for a couple hours, never seems to start folding, deleted all files and have tried serveral times, any ideas?

64 bit Ubuntu 7.04

Do you have the 32 bit extensions installed? That's the only thing I can think of.

Without the package, I cannot even start FaH so it might not be it. However, it doesn't hurt to try so type "sudo apt-get install ia32-libs" in the terminal window then retry.

 
yeah, it looks like I already had that.

My computer has been having some strange behavior, like when im using swift fox, all of a sudden, it will go into standby. I would not like to have to reformat, does ubuntu offer an option to just reinstall everything and save configurations like simple mepis 6.5? I am not sure because I know the default install uses a single partition.
