I just updated my Motherboard to a Abit AI7, which I got cheap. I am still using my PIV 3.06 533mhz as the processor, and my PC2700 Crucial 512mb memory.

The question is, If I read the faq right, Those memory wont work as Dual Channel, and Dual Channel wont work until I 1)Buy dual channel memory and 2)Get a processor with a 800mhz FSB?

Is that correct?

You need to visit the mfg for the memory brand you want.
Run thier memory configurater and see which memory is certified to run in the board you have.
They will list the dual channel stuff also.

how many sticks do you have? if the mobo supports dual channel and you have two of the same sticks, it'll work in dual channel if you put the ram in the right slots. dunno which FAQ you read that told you otherwise.
