I have an AMD 64 rig in which I have Windows Vista 64.

Now, because I am having some problems with it
(e.g., my new Ipod Touch will not interface with Vista 64), here are 2 questions:

(1) Can I install a new Hard Drive into my current Vista 64 rig and
install Windows XP Pro on it for dual boot purposes?

(2) My copy of XP Pro is from my 5 year old system in which I have not used since building my new rig.
Will I run into any registration issues, or do I need to buy a new copy of XP?

Thanks a bunch!!!

what are the specs on your'e vista 64 machine because i have a few ideas for you

1) no need for a new HDD just repartition your HDD that has vista 64 on it and instal windows XP on it and set it up so you can dual boot, here is a guide its very easy http://apcmag.com/5485/dualbooting_vista_and_xp

2) i have the same problem you are having with Vista64 not being compatible with my iPhone and what i have thought about doing is running windows XP inside a virtual machine, you can use virtual box its very easy to setup and install http://www.virtualbox.org/ create a virtual machine and install windows XP and whenever you want to use itunes and your'e ipod touch just fire up virtual box and the vm machine you have windows xp installed on and it should work fine.

2. you should not have any problems, but you will probably have to call m$. they should ask you if it is installed on another computer and say no (if that is the case).
