I am testing last couple days on 3600X using AMD overclocking and I get the same results in gaming 4250Mhz thru to 4500Mhz,I think I will stay at 4250Mhz for a bit.

Full load CPU drops to 1.25v ,set to 1.3v in BIOS
DDR4 CL16 3733Mhz @ 1.35v

Highest temperature recorded while encoding H265 12bit video 72.9c and CPU Fan RPM hit 1721 ,not bad at all I would say.

nice results! I'm a bit jealous... so far I haven't been able to get my 3600 over 4250-4275 at all. These chips don't use much power but wow do they run hot

They sure run hot,no need to worry about the CPU speed to much ,I now tested games from 3800Mhz thru to 4500Mhz and no real gaming difference.I was going to do a CPU scaling thing but I can not be bothered now.

Are you testing .01 and 1% times? I would imagine that they take a hit when shaving 500~700Mhz off the clockspeed. Granted you have very fast ram/IF, which helps a lot in overall performance, but I still think that the .01% FT have to be taking a decent hit with the lower clockspeed. If you have a ton of GPU power, say a 2080/2080ti at 1080p-1440P high refresh it might not matter much but even with adaptive sync i really prefer to have the highest .01% times I can to ensure maximum smoothness.

A little example below for those interested.

Yes testing the .01% and 1% times, after all the testing I done CPU speed not much difference on Ryzen. Memory speed at lower resolutions like 1920x1080 can have a small affect but no changes after bumping resolutions above 1080.To the nutbars ,I did not test every game made and I picked this CPU bound game on purpose because I was playing it.

Memory speed 1080 vs 1440
High Infinity fabric clock-1867Mhz
CL14 3200Mhz vs Cl14 3733Mhz

You say CPU bound but I think you mean GPU bound, considering the results. In any case, good data and you have a golden chip, sir
