Kim Dotcom's run of bad luck continues as the courts ruled against him once again. Dotcom was hoping to get his assets unfrozen but a three judge panel ruled that since his is still a fugitive, they can't release the money he had stashed in Honk Kong.

German tech entrepreneur and alleged internet pirate Kim Dotcom will seek a review of a Federal Court decision which rejected his bid to keep hold of millions of dollars in assets held in Hong Kong and New Zealand, his lawyer said. A three-judge panel of the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled two to one on Friday that Dotcom could not recover his assets because by remaining outside the U.S., he was a fugitive, which disentitled him from using the resources to fight his case.

So basically with the perversion of some laws, the gov can now charge anyone in the world with some arbitrary "crime" - regardless of its legality outside their jurisdiction - and then, if the accused doesn't come down to face the kangaroo court, they label that person as a "fugitive" and then proceed to steal their assets.

Exporting civil forfeiture corruption abroad, how nice.

Dang...I really dislike the guy, but he's being wronged big time. Give him back his cash and let him get on with his inevitable heart attack.

So nice that we are spreading the same freedom that we enjoy in the land of the free...

Really sucks how my tax money is wasted on a blatant illegal abuse of power.

What a country we have...

Well, we have to balance the trade deficit somehow.

Anybody named dot-com...guilty.

Your mother might as well have named you Strawman.
