Doom 3 ROE actually pretty cool.

I didn't like Doom 3 all that much. I appreciated the hard work on ID's part, but it was just too intense. I recently got hold of ROE, and it's pretty damn good! I really enjoyed it. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a bash, even though they have ripped of HL2 with the grabber. Still, makes fighting imps really easy.

I thought the same thing (doom3 ok. ROE much much better)
Less dark, better pacing (probably scarier imo) Double barrel shotgun has that "UMPH" that none of the other guns really have. Grabber is fun to play "catch" with

I enjoyed ROE as well but I will have to disagree about it being less dark.. there was this one room that was all metal grating floors and railings with lots of pillars that was SO damn dark I couldn't see anything except the imps fireballs, I didn't even remember a room THAT dark in the original. But besides that it was still pretty fun

The flashlight becomes extremely comical when used with the artifact later on in the game.


The endboss is pretty friggin pimp also.
