In researching an undocumented BIOS setting of my DQ6 (no mention in manual) when I asked Gigabyte about the Memory Performance Enhance in the M.I.T sub-menu this is what they replied:

It your ram has EPP support it should auto detect it which is what Memory Performance Enhance does

Wel my ram has EPP and setting the option to Fast and Turbo does affect Sysoft Sandra benchmarks (better :) ). Neato, cause there is no mention of EPP anywere that I can find on Gigabytes web site or any other DQ6 documentation.

So, does the DS3 have this option in the bios too ?
S3 ?
other 965P Gigabytes ?

EPP is enhanced performance profile for better memory timings but I didnt know it had been done on anything but Nvidia chipsets.

from what I understand nVidia developed it but it's an open standard available to be used if the mobo mfrs choose to support it.
I'm sure that I remember Corsair's Yellowbeard mentioning somewhere that some non-nVidia boards used it.
