Does anyone still play Battlefield 1942 (2002)?

I know it's a long shot, but is anyone still playing it?

What files / patches do I need to have to install it completely and have it work?

I have:

Battlefield 1942 (2002)
expansions:
The Road to Rome
Secret Weapons of WWII

I need:

Patches

Maps /Map Packs

Mods:
Desert Combat

Battlecraft (version ?)

Other modding tools.

I would also like to play online if possible.


Is there a good site to get what I need? Many of the old ones are gone or moved.

What are some of the best Maps / Map Packs I should have?

I would just go for desert combat.

Also, check out the free to play heroes and generals on steam. It has a huge following with a lot of organized people. You can buy weapons and such but have to rank up enough to use them. The play balance is pretty wacked until you level up quite a bit. Once you do though. The game is very much like 1942.

Revisiting Axis campaign occasionally. Always fun on highest difficulty.
