I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, if not, please move it. Thank you.

Anyway, I'm just seeing if I happen to be the only person experiencing this error or if its common across the board.

The situation: 9 times out of 10 when attempting to log into either www.hardocp.com or www.hardforum.com I get the, "Document Contains No Data" error. In fact, this has been the first time since 10:30am EST today I have been able to log in, out of an attempted 18 times. And this happens every day from the time I turn on my computer to the time I go to bed...all day long. Its like a really bad game because I never know when I'll actually be able to log on. Its inconsistant too. I might be able to log on 5 times during the course of a 24 hour period and I may only be able to make 1 post during the entire day due to this.

Am I the only one experiencing this? I've emailed Kyle a few times about this already as its been happening for roughly 3 weeks and he claims there is no problem on his end.

I've tried deleting cookies, resetting the defaults on IE and have even gone as far as reinstalling Mozilla Firefox several times. I've attempted to reset the modem, the router, the computer, I've tried turning my firewall off, uninstalling it, turning it back on, changing its settings, I've tried no anti-virus software, shutting it off and completely removing it and I've tried the same thing with Spyware software. I've even tried the obvious refreshing the webpage to no avail. And yet, nothing seems to work and I'm completely frustrated.

I feel I've tried everything just short of formatting my mahcine and reinstalling Windows and I really doubt thats what the problem is.

Does anyone have any clue? As any help would be greatly appreciated.

And before you ask if this is happening on any other sites or forums the answer would have to be a resounding "NO". It only happens on Hardocp and Hardforum.

One of my clients had the same problem once. It turned out to be a program that blocked certain IP's. The program is PeedGuardian. Exiting the program fixed the problem.

Might not be the same in your case, just thought I'd let you know.

the problem wasnt Peer Guardian (please note the word Peer lol), it was the list of IP's that was in use. Peer Guardian like Protowall will block whatever you tell it to.
He got hold of a bad list from somewhere.

Do you have any other computers in your house that you could try accessing on? Or computers you could get your hands on for a short amount of time. Then you could try getting on the forums, and you'll be able to see if it's your isp or if it's your computer that's causing the problems. Most likely it's your computer.

I too have had intermittent problems getting to HardOCP in the last week.
Sometimes I get a blank page, sometimes only the very top and sides, other times like now it works just fine. This is without rebooting so no changes in my system that I know of.
If it is broken in a certain way, it remains broken in exactly the same way for some time. It isnt random each time I connect.

In case it matters, I use:
XP Pro SP2 and all patches
Protowall and Blocklist Manager (disabling Protowall made no difference)
Hardware firewall (DG814)
Zone Alarm (disabling this made no difference)
Spybot S&D TeaTimer running
Spyware Blaster
Avast Antivirus

hmm, spoke too soon!
it failed to post this message and then gave this error
