Do z170 motherboards fail at higher than normal rates?

Folks,

Researching a skylake build, I'm reading a lot of z170 mobo reviews. I am struck by the number of doa boards or those which stop working after just a few weeks. Admittedly this is not a statistically accurate methodology, but it certainly seems like there are a lot of problems out there.

Is there any sense of a higher than normal failure rate? Or data?

If they do have failure issues, I'll swap to a 2011 build...

Start reading reviews for other boards, people complain about everything. There doesn't seem to be a real outbreak of failed 170 boards.
