Do I really have the last 1920x1200 17" PC laptop?

I sometimes 'brag' to my tech buddies that my Dell Precision m6500 is the 'last' 17" PC laptop. The specs are all that a circa 2010 mobile workstation would be.. i7-820QM processor, 16GB RAM, new SSD.. It served me well over the years, and works perfectly, but it's getting old, and the trackpad is a sad victim of Windows 10 not-quite-compatibility (it's a weird one-off "jog shuttle" Synaptics that doesn't two-finger scroll in Win10).

I'm considering throwing it up on eBay/Craigslist/whatever, but only if I can find something to replace it. Is anyone aware of a PC laptop with maybe an i7-2xxx processor in 1920x1200 (note: not 1920x1080)? I have the 17" MacBook Pro 2011 as well, and it has 1920x1200. I'd be happy with something this vintage in PC-spec.

Mt Sager 17" i7 skylake with 32 gb ram nvidia 970m does 1920x1080 recommended or can do 2715x1527.

Hi,

Looks like yes.
The closest that we have is 1900 x 1080. However, you still have 17'' plus laptops available.
You can check Asus.
Asus ROG G751JM
Intel® Core™ i7 4710HQ ~ 3.75 GHz Processor
Intel® HM87 Express Chipset
DDR3L MHz SDRAM, 24 GB
17.3" 16:9 IPS FHD (1920x1080) LED Backlight anti-glare
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX860M with 2GB GDDR5 .

Then there are couple of Alienware's that you may want to consider. However, i did find the specs for the above mentioned Asus quite fascinating.

Yeah, pretty much hosed as far as I know in regards to 1920x1200.

The only other real options would be to:
1. Get a laptop with an even higher resolution screen.
2. Stick that 17" screen in a different 17" laptop provided you can get the correct cable to hook it up AND it will fit in the screen casing of the newer laptop. I have fit a different screen of the same size in a laptop it wasn't meant for. It worked, but didn't mount up with all the mounting holes.

I was bummed when I couldn't find 1920x1200 monitors at a reasonable price. You know what, I'm surviving without the 120. :) Granted, I have three monitors. :)
