Do I need heatspreaders if I am not overclocking?

just wondering, I am going to buy some RAM today but I really don't need fancy RAM sinks, my house is AC cooled so I really don't need to worry about heat too much either.

Usually Heat Sinks make either no difference or actually harm cooling of the RAM modules.

You don't need RAM heatsinks even if you are overclocking.
