Dlink 624 wierd, WIERD problem...

bought a new 624, and upgraded to latest firmware

When it's plugged into the network ALL(3 24 porters) the switches are just flashing furiously, packets are dropped, I can't ping google.com, only half the time... whacky stuff....

The switch is ONLY being used as a wireless AP and doesn't route any internet...

Which revision DI-624? If it's new it should be a Rev.C, but you never know. If it is a Rev.C, are you using the beta 2.45 firmware? I had some problems with DHCP using that firmware, but nothing as you described.

yes, using the 2.45
and yes version c

just reflashed bios... will see what happens.

Put 614+ back on the network, and it's working great.... gonna see what I can do aboot sending this piece 'o junk back.... never seen the like of it... slows the whole network right down to a crawl....
