i am going to get the DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI board, just because I would like the have the ability to go SLI at a later time. However, I was told it isn't as good at overclocking as the ultra-d is.. true?

False, it uses the same PCB, it will overclock the same.
