Those of you who couldn’t make the trip to CES and steal one of Razer’s triple-screen laptops in time can check out this alternative. Being a crude project, however, it is most definitely not for you if aesthetics matter—having door hinges on your laptops is the exact opposite of sexy.
YouTuber JerryRigEverything, mainly known for his smartphone durability tests, decided to embark on a DIY project after seeing Project Valerie, and built a working triple screen laptop, teaching you how to make your own along the way. The screens fold in and are powered entirely by the main laptop unit, receiving data and power via USB. The hinges, meanwhile are regular old door hinges you can get from a hardware store. They are glued rather than screwed, because, well, you don’t want to screw through a laptop screen.
