I plan to build a switch based H shifter. I might even build a wheel using an optical mouse as a tracker, along with some bunjee cords.. Anyway the real question
I see lots of DIY shifters, most use a spring on the bottom for the pivot, where as I could use a ball socket.. That said, the basic design uses 2 cabinet latches to hold onto the shifter stick. Couldn't that simply use 2 earth magnets? Just looking for a basic microswitch based shifter, using a cheap USB encoder. I can build in SKRS switches and a button box into the unit and run it all off 1 encoder
