I am using FairUse Wizard to rip my own DVDs to DivX avi files to store on my laptop for trips. It works great, is easy to use, blah blah blah. The problem is the volume levels are so low. Is there an application out there (free hopefully) that will let me read in the Avi DivX file and raise the volume level? Even with headphones I have to turn the volume way way up to hear it.

I know that with capturing .wav files the line-in volume makes a huge difference. What is the DVD/CD and System volume set at in your audio properties in the taskbar? Raise that to max and see if it helps. That is my only guess having not used that program before.

edit: I know that deals mostly with output volume, but hey, its worth a try.
