I picked up a bolt through kit for my Xig 1283. My CPU is a x3110 (e8400) at stock. (34-36 idle, 48ish load) with an ambient around 65F. I also notice more of a difference in core temps between the 2 cores than before.

I am using OCZ Freeze paste and followed the guide at Benchmark Review for applying to this HS. I used Articlean (works great) and the purifier (doesn't work great) on both the CPU and HS.

I was hoping to drop my temps with the bolt through but it's been the exact opposite. My temps are now actually a tad higher than they were using push pins. I tightened the screws until they were snug. Not really comfortable going more.

I tried pre-spreading a small amount to fill in the seams of the heat pipes but just can't get it right I don't feel. I don't know if I used to much paste but it was very similar amounts as the recommended amount by BR (2 small lines)

Does anyone have any experience with this HS or paste and could give me some tips for next time when I redo this?

Thanks.
