I got a unix server running a whole bunch of stuff on it. Well the story goes, cron freaked out and sent a message every few seconds for like a week without me noticing. Now I got a mailfile with 90,000+ messages and unix mail command can't seem to handle it.

So basically I was wondering if anyone knew what to do to clear the mail file (it's all junk), and maybe reject all email to root so this doesn't happen in the future.

Normally I'd just delete and recreate the user or something basic like that. Although I feel deleting root wouldn't go over too well

PS It's redhat es3

***EDIT***
I think I figured it out, it looks like PINE can handle it just fine. Thanks if you were investigating though. :)
