Dirt 2 autosave fails?

Just fired up Dirt 2 from the weekend sale, and having a bit of a problem setting it up. It loads up, but fails when trying to create an autosave file. I do have a GTFW (or whatever Microsoft calls it) set up from Batman... and it seems like it recognizes the game when I hit the home key.

Anyhow, the error comes up as "Operation Failed. Save data is corrupted". OS is WinXP (x64). Just keyboard and mouse, at this point.

Just as a warning to the other three XP64 users out there... GFWL seems to be horked up on our platform.

Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning DiRT 2.

There is a known issue with Windows XP 64 bit and the latest version of Games for Windows Live, which causes a problem with Dirt 2.

We are currently working with Microsoft in order to resolve this and hope to have an update to release as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not yet have an exact date, but will update, via the forums as soon as we do.

There are some current workarounds to the problem posted on our forum, however...
