Hi all-

I have run into a situation here. An employee wants to digitally sign a .pdf which had been previously password protected by another person. Even if you know the password, is this possible?

Foxit Phantom pdf reader is being used.

After all of my testing I have not been able to password protect a pdf then digitally sign. I am beginning to think this is not possible. I also cannot find the answer online.

Anyone know?

I saw your post and I opened a PDF in Adobe Acrobat on my work computer. There is an option called "changes allowed" where you can pick "filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields". But if the PDF is already password protected and that field isn't checked then there isn't anything that you can do.
