Digi Cam Poll: What Digital Camera do you use?

Just got a Canon Rebel xsi, kit 18 - 55mm f/3.5 - 5.6 IS Lens

Once I get it paid off I plan to add a macro and zoom lens and possibly a flash.

Still have my Canon G7 and some attachments for it.

I still use a Canon Digital Rebel 300D (original Digi-Rebel) w/ kit lens and 80-300mm EF telephoto. I REALLY want a macro, but can't justify the >$300 price of one just yet.

I use a cheapo Samsung s630 when I want to just take quick pics. It was under $100 last year on newegg WITH a 2GB SD card. Leaves a lot to be desired and has an incredible amount of noise in the pics, but it works for small snaps of parties or what not.

I don't shoot as nearly as a I used to, I'm a law student and I don't get out much.

I also have a Canon Elura 100 Widescreen video cam, but will upgrade to high def when I start having kids (not for a couple of years, though)

just got my first dslr today.

nikon d40
18-55mm 3.5-5.6
55-200mm 4-5.6 VR
sb400

How is this setup working for you Sir? How is the 55-200mm lens? And the sb400? Do you wish you would have gotten the 600 version?

Since yesterday, I'm the proud owner of a Nikon D60 with the Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm VR lens. This is my first DSLR and so far, I love it and I expect it to be a expensive hobby :p

It is. No matter what camera you have or what system it's not cheap.

I agree Sir but the best thing is you buy a piece of glass today for $400 it's going to be roughly the same next year and the year after that.

You buy top of the line GPU today for $400 in one year it will be $150 and in two years it will be obsolete and you'll be lucky to get $60.

Buying a piece of glass is a lifetime investment. Take a $400 lens and spread it over 5 or more years and it costs a couple cents a day.

I have a Sony A100 which i am quite happy with and the following lens:

I've made more changes in my lens lineup. I still have a 30D, but I sold my two L lenses. I sold the 17-40 f/4L and replaced it with an EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS. A while back I sold my 75-300 IS and bought a 70-200 f/4L. I kept running into situations where I wished I had the IS lens and that extra 100mm, so I bought the newer 70-300 IS as a companion. I found myself not using the 70-200 f/4L anymore, so I went ahead and sold it. Now I have just two lenses in my set:

Canon 30D with grip
17-55 f/2.8 IS
70-300 f/4-5.6 IS

And still the Fuji F10 for my carry everywhere camera.

Haven't posted mine here yet. New Nikon Setup:
D90
50mm f/1.4 AF-S
10.5mm AF DX f/2.8 Fisheye
No Zooms or Lighting yet, but this works great for indoor ambient-light and landscapes. Having a great time with this thing so far!

My old point and shoot, which I recently gave to my parents to use was a Canon PS-A650 - great little P&S! Recommended for anyone interested in something in the lower end.

D700 + 24-70 f/2.8

The D300 is being sold, and the d70 is on loan to my father.
SB600 Canon fiance', SB1100 Canon for a drag around.

Started off with a 35mm Nikon F2, first digital was a Panasonic DMC-FZ5. Bought a D50, moved to a 20D, then to a D200, then back to a D50. Currently using a '60s modified NAI Cimko 20mm f/2.8 while I search for a new wide angle zoom. I'd probably sell the D50 and go back to Canon if I didn't have the 70-300mm VR.

Current:

Nikon D50
Cimko NAI 28mm f/2.8
Nikkor 70-300mm VR

Canon 5D
Canon 35mm f/1.4L
Canon 135mm f/2L
