Enjoyed my play through, think I'm going to switch away from Barb though, no desire to push that class any further I just don't find it compelling. I had more fun in adventure mode or whatever playing rogue to level 15 than I did all of my play through on barb.

I know maxed out settings in 4k. I use between 19-20gb of vram.

It gets better, but it's still pretty dumb.

There's an aspect that gives you mana when chain lightning bounces off you. Which means the most effective way to fight a boss is to just pop ice shields and try to fucking face tank it because if it only bounces between the both of you, you can literally fire it off endlessly.

So I just walk up to bosses and stand there right clicking for a minute straight and only move if I know I'm literally going to get one shot.

Otherwise there's a LOT of just running around waiting.
 
Remember is still early. Devs seem active in balancing(good and bad). Lets be real after the first go around unless you like arpgs this one wont appeal long. Its mostly the same stuff with a few new takes and a shinny new engine.
 
I am liking D4, but it's not engaging me or pulling me in like the old school Diablo I and II dud back in the day, or good WoW expansion like Legion.

It's a good game, but feels a little boring and generic repetitive.

Plus the game design of always being out of Mana / Energy after just a few right clicks gets old and frustrating fast.

Just reached level 45 sorcerer and got my mount. Playing with fire/ice basic skills and lightning/blizzard for mana spending. Pretty much what everyone else has been saying, spam the blizzard and lightning is the most effective. Hope they adjust the mana cost/regeneration or adjust some passives that could help. The material drops for the last legendary upgrades seem to be non existent as well.

You'll get plentiful amounts of legendary mats in t3.

Frost Nova, Ice Armor, Teleport, Unstable Currents, Hydra and Arc Lash with fireball and arc lash enchantments.

Haven't used mana since I've been doing this build - Stun to crit and crit to stun - Absolutely pummels hoards of enemies.
Nova, ice and teleport all stun and arc lash stunned enemies reduces your cooldowns. Hydra burns and you get an additional burn damage effect on top of the stunned damage multiplier - fireball enchantment to explode on death.

There's several somewhat tricky but cool passives in the sorc's lineup that are incredible once they're activated.

Add in Unstable Currents(make sure chain lightning is unlocked) and you're wrecking everything.

Finished the story. I kept hearing about how the story was actually good. Yeah , no. The ending is pretty fucking stupid and revolves around that jar jar binks dumbass 14 year old girl. Easily one of my most disliked npc's in a game ever. WTF? Why is she in this? The story is grim, dark, cool, and here comes this 14 year old whiny girl to annoy the shit out of everybody she comes in contact with. Who ever wrote her in at blizz is a fucking retard.
 
I'm level 20 now, and the game is picking up getting more fun.

My Rogue is doing better, have some skills that help Energy regen. Plus upgraded health potions.

Isn't there transmog in the game? Where is that NPC located? I'm in one of the main town in Act 1
 
^^ yes and there's another one to the right of the portal in a building on the first floor in Ked Bardu also.. I think that one is easier to access personally.

I got Ghastly Reins on my first world boss event a buddy dragged me into Friday night and didn't even realize what it was... finally finished act III today and got my mount. That skin is pretty sweet. So far love the game. I was a little worried that having play all of the beta events I would be a little burned out but once I got past lvl 25 which I did on the first sitting I was having a lot of fun with the necro class. Doing a minion blood build with iron maiden and amy of the dead ... lots of passives and almost maxed out all minion abilities. It shreds!

Also I finally figured the crafting system out and WOW.. It is so well done I am so impressed. I made a bad ass set of legendaries and skinned them the way I want to with the wardrobe. The detail in some of those legendary armor pieces and weapons is just sick. Some ridiculously cool looking two handed skythes. Pretty cool stuff!

Frustraing day over here. Gf and I tried to do the dungeon that gets you t3 access and got all the way to the end and disconnect. Then account locked. Got back in and made it to the end again only to wipe. Boss full health and at this point I was done. I shut down the pc. I liked it up to this point but today just wasn’t fun. This is the opposite of how I want to feel when I play a video game.

What level are you and whats your build? I had to throw in the towel on my ranged Rogue build and go into the twirling blades build to get it done.

agree... might need to farm some new gear. what nice is respecting seems pretty simple so try another build

During the 3rd server slam I tried sorceress and shuffled my skills a bunch but there was one boss that just got me every time. Had to give up.. it was frustrating af. Went back to necro.
Getting gear that has plusses that cater to your classes most important attribute and abilities also makes a big difference. GL .. better times are ahead!
Also be sure to upgrade your armor and weapons at the blacksmith and jewelry at the jeweler. That def makes a difference

Seem to do OK but the game feels the same as it was at level 5 with the first unlocks rolling in. Of course hydra and ice shield came a bit later. Now doing the mains in Act 3. Also did a stronghold at level 36 and got meh gear. Only good thing about stronghold is probably the option to not travel so much on foot.

Map is huge but very empty and repetitive. It is just not compelling. Equipment drops are also very rare. Most times when the top level drops it is worse than my current equipment or I have to give up stats like regen health etc.

Just need to fast forward through the next 3 acts. Applied for the clan. Also pulled a cramp on my shoulder due to clicking all weekend.

Act 3 is a slog. It goes through kind of a boring area of the map and has you doing a lot of running around before you get the horse. Once you finish Act 3 things pick back up, and by that point I was near 50 anyways and things were better. The unlock of the paragon board makes things more interesting as well.
 
They need to just get rid of "objectives" in dungeons. The amount of back tracking and tedium the cause is getting me to the point where I may quit soon. It would be major addition by subtraction just dumping it. No one wants to their dumb ass little click on this quests or pick something up quest hundreds of times. It's an ARPG I want to kill monsters, kill a boss, rinse, repeat.
 
I am fed up of dungeons. Not doing them anymore as you don't even get a decent item afterwards. Just random yellow drops.
 
Another $70 question,

If you had the choice to get your money back for a refund, would you do it?

I'm still not sold on getting the game yet.
