So is wizard any good now? Or is it still "meh" like in the beta, I just got the starter edition and am using the Monk this time. Kinda lulz how easy it is, never have to run from a fight or even move a few steps back.
Diablo isn't solo-able with the fucking lag. He hits you from a fucking mile away after you've dodged his fucking attacks and his piece of shit bone prisons.
Great idea to make the game always-online and then not provide any servers on this side of the world Blizzard, you fucking morons.

I was wondering how the game would turn out for you when I saw that you had purchased it. The odd thing for me is that if I play on American servers, my latency is 500ms - 2,000ms. If I play on the Asian server I'm at 258ms. I live on the East coast of the USA in North Carolina. Nothing like fighting a boss and getting rubberbanded into 4 fireballs you dodges 5 secs earlier.![]()

I found a semi fix for the microstutter issue I get.
Disable background fps, enable foreground fps and set to 200. Got rid of the vast majority of my microstutter. It still shows up now and then, and I still get the random major stutter, but it's much better.

No idea why, buyt my frame rates have improved immensely since yesterday. Before I could not break 15fps even on the lowest detail levels, now today I am averaging about 80. This is on my GTX 470 machine. Any ideas as to what might have changed?
Is there PVP in the game? I thought I had heard people talkign about it, but I don't see where it would take place.
Some people would give their right ear...........
Is it a good idea to buy items from AH? I found some decent deals @ the AH that might end up cost way more if I buy in the game.

YES
buy, sell, and revel in the AH.
Problem with buying items that aren't for max level is you are going to find an upgrade a hour later. Unless they are dirt cheap, buying stuff isnt a good use of money imo. You can always upgrade your smith to craft a random item to fill that outdated item.

Hey guys checking back in, my DH is level 56 about to finish up Act II in Hell. Hell is a lot less fun than Nightmare, all I really do is spam Smoke Screen and pray I kill whatever I am attacking before I run out of Discipline.
I have seem some awesome Champions and Elites though that take a lot of effort and deaths to kill. Seeing how easily you can die in Hell has got me thinking twice about even attempting a HC character. I will probably wait of month or so at least until the server stability gets better. I cant tell you how many times I've been kiting a mob only to rubber-band right back to it and die.
Anyone else playing DH feel that Smoke Screen is absolute must? I try playing without it and it using just turns into a giant kite fest that never ends...
Well I did upgrade my smith but I still find the items in auction much better. For example my Bard Lv 15 has weapon with average 15-17dps and I spent quiet decent gold to upgrade but yet I still couldn't find a good weapon. Went to AH and got a Sword 27 dps for 7000 gold. I know it's not ideal to spend a shit load of gold on certain weapon as I'll find better one over time but still, I think I'm just gonna save the gold to buy weapons off the AH for now.
By the way where can I find the average DPS display?

Currently in Act 3 of NM, was able to break 2.7k dps on my 45 wiz.
Just hit 60, kind of annoyed at all the stuff that's been simply scrapped from the game.
-So many item suffixes/prefixes have been removed.
-The different types of elemental damage on weapons aren't actually differen't at all in function, they just look different. Gone are the days of poison over time, or low min-high max damage of lightning.
-There's no such thing as light or heavy armor, everyone wears everything
-Stats are distributed in a homogenized manner, there isn't any out of the ordinary "Wow!" niche items, like the goldfind% seems capped extremely low somewher around 15% per item, whereas in Diablo 2 a single item like the armor "Wealth" had +300% additional gold find which opened up "gold find" builds.
-There's no such thing as individual characters, everyone can be anything at the click of the button. This means there's no replayability in trying a differnent "build" of the same class
-Everyone's abilities is based off weapon damage, so wizards walk around with 2 handed axes with +intellect.
-Inferno is ridiculous at Hell gear levels, though not as bad as I thought
-Legendary items have lost their identity and don't truly stand out from the pack. Similar to uniques in vanilla Diablo 2, where rares were better.
-There's all kinds of "social" additions (banners, achievements, etc) but the Battle.net 2.0 lobby interface makes it seem like there's no community at all. Battle.net 2.0 is so shitty
-Due to the design and camera, it feels too much like a corridor RPG
-You can join anyone on any act if they are on your friends list, even if you didn't complete previous acts
-Art assets are recycled from WoW, the Demon Hunter's "Boar Companion" is a WoW model/animation, and the spiders are WoW model/animations.
-Act 1 and 2 seem decent, Act 3 and Act 4 seem somewhat rushed, especially Act 4.
-All the weapons sound the same when using attacking abilities. The Barbarians "Cleave" sounds the same when I have a sword and when I have a maul equipped.
-All kinds of problems with the auction interface, you can't sell something that isn't repaired, and you can't repair something that is in your stash unless you take it out. The auction house is also very laggy
-Due to the way the game is designed, hardcore is COMPLETELY impractical, especially Hell and Inferno. ESPECIALLY Inferno. The game design and "hardcore" mode doesn't match up, they took a D2 concept and applied it to a totally different style of game and it's a complete failure as a result.
As a hardcore Diablo, WoW, and retired hardcore Starcraft fan, I'd put this at about a 5/10 rating for Blizzard's standards.

Okay guys what do I do...
Went to target earlier to buy the game. Found one copy left on the shelves with the little alarm thing on it and both tape seals intact, top and bottom. Trying to activate it now and it tells me that the key has already been claimed...yes I checked for typos.
Upon closer inspection it looks like the bottom taping was slightly tampered with. It wasn't cut but it looks like they might have carefully peeled it off...so someone may have bought it, used it, and returned it.
I already cut the top part of the tape.
so uhhhhh now what..
On top of that, they made some of the stupidest mods that take up affix slots. "pick up gold from a distance" Seriously Blizzard?
