Ok, I want to make a website for my buddies computer business, but I have no imagination. I can code (can't anyone :)), but I can't even start because I don't know what I want. Is there some websites/hint/something that helps you get an idea about the overall design of your site?

Thanks.

unfortunately learning good design is much harder than learning how to code. it takes a lot of practice. i usually get inspired by looking at what others have done. ultimately, i find the simpliest designs to be the most fascinating and enduring, but that's just my personal preferrence.

i'd say for starters, to visit the
zen garden , then look at some examples of good design, like:
http://www.cameronmoll.com/
http://jasonsantamaria.com/
http://www.zeldman.com/
http://www.superfluousbanter.org/
http://www.designbyfire.com/

those are the ones i can think of right now

I've found typography and icons to be just as valuable as the overall design....

Check out graphicpush.com, they've got some good icon packs.

I was never good with colors. This saved my life
http://www.colormatch.dk/

usually gives me an appealing palette, though I wouldn't know considering I'm the type of guy that needs a website to choose it for me. Anyways good place to start to make things look nice as far as that goes.
