I think you are correct, but if I recall it required a .edu email address and quickly was out of stock. I have not seen it that cheap before or since.

Also, I think Dell will price match.
 
Aww.. poop. I was interested but then I checked the max resolution my laptop can push via display port and looks like i'm stuck with 2560x1600 or below.

I guess it's a good thing though. I buy something nice and my wife has to get something nice, so it ends up costing me 2x :).
 
See if you can get Dell to price match. They should at this price point and you will also get the 3 year premium panel guarantee that you can only get directly from Dell.

I have this screen (purchased during 795 deal) and it was worth every penny.

EDIT: Call and speak with Dell.
 
I can get them Dell direct for that price... Great deal, I hope this means they will be coming down.
