Dell somehow seems to be the only place on the entire internet I get to say this about, but:

tax kills it...
 
EARS drives have the new large format sectors, which are 4KB instead of 512 bytes.

Most reviews show it performing worse than the traditional EADS drive, and I'm told that it doesn't work well at all under WinXP.
I actually have this 2TB EARS drive, but I use it for storage and backup, so I don't notice any difference. It's fine for my purposes under Win7.

Edit: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1537270 - I think I'll jump on the 1.5TB samsung F3 deal in this thread. The OP is for the 1TB F3, but I already own 4 of those. I've read good things about the 5400 RPM F3 drives, so I'll try that out. - Aww crap, Out of Stock. Well, I placed the order anyway.
