Dell S2417DG 24" 1440p Gsync $330 w/ code @ The Egg

I have this monitor.. Once you tweak it, the awful color out of the box is mostly corrected... Here is some settings pulled from one of the reviewers(which the person pulled from Reddit, which is where I got my initial settings from....)

Nvidia Control Panel Use Nvidia Settings

All channels - Brightness + 45% - Contrast + 55% - Gamma + 0.96 - Digital vibrance + 45%

Red channel - Brightness + 40% - Contrast + 70% - Gamma + 1.00

Green channel - Brightness + 50% - Contrast + 50% - Gamma + 0.89

Blue channel - Brightness + 50% - Contrast + 50% - Gamma + 1.00

Monitor settings: - Brightness 75% - Contrast 77%

Color

Custom Color - R 97% - G 99% - B 96%

It definitely helps.. believe me.. you will be shocked how much it corrects..

Sold out already? $417 from 3rd party.

Edit: Don't know why that came up as default but it does allow me to select newegg and get the deal. Tempted but will hold out for another of the 27" models.

Its TN and 23.8" but has GSync... My Korean monitor has really been getting on my nerves lately, I can't use it with my work laptop, and the burn in while OC'ed is fucking annoying, (Have to turn off the montior, and restart the PC).

How is the ghosting? I have seen people say its not a true 1ms response time and also, color banding is horrible?

Eh I ordered one, we'll see how it does, anything has to be better than this Korean monitor at this point lol.

There are no monitors that have a true 1ms response time. It's marketing fluff. It probably has a real world response time of 2-3ms like most other panels of this type, which is more than enough to prevent ghosting at 144 or 165 Hz. Just avoid the "Fast" setting for response time in the OSD as it introduces a lot of overshoot which can cause inverse ghosting.

I've seen no issues with color banding, and it shouldn't have any as it's a true 8-bit panel, but it does suffer from pixel inversion like its bigger brothers.

This helped a lot, I tweaked from these settings, need to do a little more and it be will perfect, this TN panel really isn't that bad..

Performance out of this thing is buttery smooth, ready to Office Space printer my Korean monitor. I'm pretty sure the pixel inversion I'm seeing isn't bothering me... The Porn test passed with flying colors, 24" vs 27" seems to be a non issue so yeah, only thing bugging me is the backlight bleed in the center of the screen. I do wish I had the horsepower to power another one.

Post a collage of pics of the smashing.. I am interested.. lol

Anyone have issues with green outlines when scrolling on white pages?

No, I haven't seen that.

I'm seeing that on certain black screens I'm getting banding... Which seems to be related to nVidia, since I change settings and it goes away or comes back..

And just like that, its being sent back... Hopefully my next panel doesn't get stuck in the technician screen of death.

And to stay on topic its back on sale.
