lol I know, but still a nice deal :p Besides, you can add a GPU

128MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1300 HyperMemory™ [add $49]
256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™ [add $99]
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7300 TurboCache* [add $129]

All of those listed GPU's still use shared memory. Might as well not waste money on a shared memory upgrade.

It's a notebook.. Even some of the mainstream notebook GPUs use shared memory. The upgrades will improve the performance a ton.

dont think this is hot, more mild to me. the price drop seems great, but i've seen way better. Vista home basic? hmm.... dell deals arent as great as they used to be. This looks like they doubled the price of the laptop to 1104 then said "We're taking off 400!"

thanks for postinng though. still looking for a great dell deal like those from yesteryear

i'm happy with my everex with 7600 go :D. after all, 1 more gig of ram equals = 765 total spent :D
