Well just as the title says my 2.13ghz laptop is only running at .80ghz in age of empires 3. is there some kind of setting someplace that shows you how to adjust tis. it says on the pop up whne i put the game on that my processor was not running fast enough. it sais it may be due to running on battery power whihc im not, im running on the wall power.
    thanks

is this just in age of empires? Go to system info and see what speed its running at.

what are you using to monitor CPU speed? the windows clockspeed report wont change when the CPU does, use something like CPUZ

This is due to the fact that when you are installing the game it reads the processor speed, and since SpeedStep is enabled to protect battery life etc it is currently only running at 800mhz when the proc is pegged for what speed it is. I would ignore this as it just means speedstep is working correctly. I bet if you monitored your CPU speed while playing the game, that it will be pegging at the correct 2.13ghz.

There is always "Notebook Hardware Control", formerly know as Centrino hardware control.

    google it.
