Dell 600m - does upgrading my RAM void the warranty?

I want to change from 2x256 to 2x512 sticks in my 600m covered by completecare. Am I allowed to do this, or will it void my warranty?

I have 3 years of warranty left on this thing, I don't want to screw myself over with anything.

No, thats why it has a hatch to do it. Unless there is a sticker over the hatch you can upgrade it.

As long as you don't f*uck up the notebook doing it you should be fine. Dell will not of course cover the new ram unless you buy it from them. I mean if you are worried about it hold on to the old ram and swap it back in if you ever need to have the notebook fixed.

And just make sure you buy Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, Mushkin memory so it has a Lifetime warranty on it as well There are others but those are the top 4 imho

I have replaced/added more ram and then sent it to dell for repair. They did not say anything about it.
