I have a PQ321Q, no issues whatsoever. I prefer the ultrawide displays though, if you're looking for one

They aren't overpriced, they're usually just really expensive LCDs versus TVs which tend to be really cheap LCDs just favoring size over features.

For example, its hard to find a TV that has good colors, uniformity, response time, and 4:4:4 full chroma, and so they tend to look inferior, but still good enough for watching TVs and movies.

Yes ASUS has good firmware, no issues with their MST implementation. They all use the same panel, except Dell's firmware is defective.

There is a lot of other options for 30"+ 4K now that do not use MST and are cheaper, I would not pay over $800 for this Dell. Seems eBay agrees with me too (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-UP3214...206?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0bc23a3e)
