Welcome and thanks for the post, this deal is luke warm like you suggested. The monitor recently I've seen at $679 free ship. After seeing my lovely 30" @ $1299.00 which was $2199 on Jan 5, 2006 I'm thinking that 24" will go sub $600 soon and the 30" will probably be close to $1000. LCD and Plasma have come down a bunch, the 50" Zenith Plasma was $2999.00 just 6 months ago and now can be had for $1999.00 amazing. 30" PC monitor is my max for a while since my desk has a shelf just above it and would have to be removed for anything even 1/10" higher.
