How can I delete my posts? I read the faq here and vBuletins FAQ and can't find anyting. Then search FAQ option isn't working, some error going on, it says an e-mail has been sent to the administrators.

When I click the edit/delete button on my post I don't see anywhere to delete. Was it removed, or am I just not putting in the super secret code right? I wanted to change the title of a topic I created that has no replies but changing the title (the one seen in the forum) isn't possible in edit mode, so I figured I might as well delete and create a copy of it with the new title.

Anyway, that's where I ran into problems. The delete option seems to have been hidden/taken away.

Can I get some info on this?

Yeah, the ability to delete one's own posts has been disabled. It would mess things up if people could just go and delete an entire thread. You can always PM one of the friendly mods or admins and they can change a title or delete a thread for you.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If any of the mods of admins can help, just shoot us a PM and we'll handle it for you, no problem

Its ok now. I just didn't get any replies for a while while the other threads pushed mine down and I wanted to snaz up the title. I got some replies now though so it's all good.

Yeah, deleting an entire thread is wack.

Can you set conditions? Like if there are no replies to a thread, or if there is a post preceeding it (that way you couldn't delete the first post and therefore the whole thread but you could delete replies). That would be nice.

That feature is limited to mods only to keep everything on par and even they are limited somewhat concerning deletions. If thread starters could pick and choose posts within their threads, chaos would be the result, so it won't be available.

have you ever tested this 'theory?' ;)

Yes, as a matter of fact it was early on. Members could use most, if not all features available in the earlier versions of vBull to catastrophic results. Over the years the controls have been reined in as they were abused. What you have now is the culmination of five years experience in forum management tuned for optimal performance.

Im pretty happy with the feature set [H] is using. Im members of some other forums that have alot more features, but hard is nice and simple, no need to worry about rep points or deleting your thread.
