Hello all,

I think it's quite lame that even for ~$1k, companies can't be arsed to give you an actual 1:1 pixel mapping LCD on HDMI (that's you WANQ). Now, if I'm mistaken and it's just technically impossible then i'm the wanqer. But basically, it makes me just wonder what the point of getting a 1080 is if my games (I'm getting this for a PS3) will be stretched to fit. May as well just get a 20"/720p, right?

What would you recommend in this department? And is there anything with 1:1 on HDMI? Or is there basically no diff in quality between DVI+HDMI converter and straight HDMI?

Thanks for your help!

I dont suggest you getting a 22'' since they are all TN panel...

HDMI and DVI are the same signal, no difference. HDMI also have the audio signal but in a computer monitor you wont have speakers so no big deal

i see. but the problem with 24's is that they're well over double the price. is the quality really THAT much better?

does anyone know what panels are used in the Dell 2001FP's? i have two of those and they're perfectly fine for me. i haven't even *gasp* calibrated them, ever.
