[Debunked] Cryptominers have already cracked NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 hash rate limiter - Fake News! Read OP

It isn't a hack to the drivers but the idea here is they were able to trick the drivers because Nvidia set it up to look for a specific program, which in this case was Ethereum. This is why I referenced Quack 3.exe because this is what ATI did a long time ago to cheat on Quake 3 performance. I doubt Nvidia's drivers are seeking a file name but it's the same idea and still a terrible practice. Nvidia is trying to prevent another scenario similar to the GTX 1060's where when the crypto market crashed, you could find GTX 1060's for a little over $100. Which is terrible because Nvidia is trying to prevent the resale of their products.
