Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 Too Sexist For Europe And US

buahahhahhaha. Another example of political correctness gone just plain wrong. Laughable.

They will go away if ignored. The problem is that the press does not ignore their stupidity. Because outraged stupid people make good press apparently.

The press doesn't ignore them because the press has a paid up membership card in them.

Girls with big bouncing breasts playing volleyball. Looks pretty enjoyable to me. SJW political correctness types need to calm down and let us men enjoy the games we like. If they really think things need to change, then start buying, playing, and making games. Otherwise stfu.

Has nothing to do with Puritanical views, but more with "Objectifying women".
Given our cultural moral decay within the past 8 years and the ridiculous hyper sensitive millennials who see "micro aggressions" and sexism in just about everything, objectification makes more sense.

I think some statistic was 98% of video game characters killed are men....we aren't objects at all :p

Its because the press are almost exclusively SJWs themselves, hence the whole gamer-gate fiasco to begin with.

Dear god I can't believe people are still blaming the USA (even though it's not being shipped to western countries) because the publisher decided not to release it there.

This is some fun stuff to read.

And this marks the beginning of the downfall of mankind. "OH NO! Someone doesn't like seeing tits on their videoscreen, WHATEVER WILL THEY DO? Turn it off you say? NEVER! Don't you tell ME to turn off MY television - YOU GET OFF MY TELEVISION!"

Do you all know that you are being used by Tecmo? They don't give a crap about their public image, it's about money! They decided not to release it because it's a crappy spin-off that wouldn't make enough money to be worth it for them to adjust it and release it in the West. Some genius in marketing thought it might deflect some anger away from them if they blamed it on Western feminists, and you guys have swallowed the hook.

I think the core issue is a society's attitude as a whole towards the use of sexual appeal in video games. In western society, you could get bad press for making games like this, while in Japan no one cares if people make them.

So yes, you're right it was the publisher's decision to not export the game over to western markets, but the issue here is the reason behind it. I think it's real and it does affects the gaming industry to a certain extend. There are many example out there of how it affects design decisions. It should not have been this way, but it is and that's the problem.

As a few have already said - if you don't like it, don't buy it. I never understood the market for these games. (Also, I've never played one either so I could be missing out I suppose).
As a parent, would I want my kids playing this? No. It would be awkward on multiple levels. I remember watching movies when I was younger with my parents. The nude scene would happen. I was always uncomfortable knowing my parents are in the room with me. I never asked their opinion, but I would imagine they are hoping the scene would finish and move on already.
On the flip side, would I really care if my kids played this? Not really. Boys will be boys. They will do things like we all did (or still do:) ). As a parent, you hope they are discreet and you don't want to think about where your wife's Good Housekeeping magazines keep disappearing to. You also don't want to think about why tissues and Kleenexes are never in stock at your house. Just don't think about it.

Play-Asia ran with it and that importer site became a spewing meming machine. Well, I think that it was smart of this site to capitalize on Toei-Tecmo and the whole hubbub.

ayame was a questionable girl under 18 but now they have a girl that they cant BS around she is under 18. They know they cant have her in the states in this type of game.

They have one girl with average sized tits, so she must be underage?

I don't think its real at all. It wouldn't be the first time a Japanese company didn't release a game over in the western market and that was mostly due to the game not making any money.

This is a publicity stunt to save face to say "we don't want to ship it there because we lose money when we do."

Continue being ignorant it only shows how western people are fools,

I would have no use for this game, but I have always found the DOA girls to be cute. Realistically, there just is no market for games like this here. DOA pretty much has the best titty physics of any game and this would make a great Kinect game, but there needs to be more substantial content.

Does anyone even know what the DoA Xtreme game series were supposed to be about? I thought it was beach volleyball, but these games seem to be about female drama, dress up, breast physics, and all sorts of dumbass shit. I honestly don't think they need to cite any sexism issues as the game itself is just too damn dumb for western audiences. The average American male is not going to pay $60 for a game like this when they can spend a few minutes at Pornhub for free then go right back to Call of Duty.

doa themed dating sim... 2 did not do well...so that is the real reason it is a shame they think this my guess is they fear an AO rating...

I doubt it would get an AO rating, you'd need nudity and excessive gore or brutal killing to get that.

well...last one sold much better in the West

Not true all you need is sex being the main theme of the game they almost got one for Dead or alive paradise a certain suit had to be dropped...

Btw North america day 1 nude patches are the norm yea over sexualization is not why it is not coming to here it is because they dont want to cut content for the AO rating it would get and they dont like money...

You got a link to support that "almost" AO rating? Because a third party patch does not constitute an AO rating.

As a person who did nude photography for years I can tell you that America has more angst against a nude woman over various out factors out there. Mostly here in the south.

The second class citizenship they treat anyone who pose nude is scary.

Its our religious, puritanical roots. Nudity has becomes instantly sexualized and that's not right.

And who gives a shit if she is? Or are underage girls banned from wearing swimsuits now?

And why is it fine to have the same girls in the same outfits in a fighting game but not one where they prance around on a beach and play volleyball? I've seen plenty of that in rl but I've never seen two girls kickboxing in bikinis before.

Didn't the hot coffee patch make GTA4 AO until it was pulled and repackaged?

Not trying to argue, just curious. Also that was some extenuating circumstances if I remember right.

I don't care if they what age person those pixels represent myself. I was merely responding to a claim that one was underage. I was curious if the fact that one had only average sized tits was how they came to the conclusion that one pile of pixels appeared too young.

See how little sense it makes for this to be about whether the girl is underage? They canceled the Western release because of money, not content.

Or to drum up controversy, and then release it in the West, because "the fans demanded it". Nothing sells a game quite like controversy. :D

Well, nothing except perhaps making a great game, but a lot of devs seem to have given up on doing that.
