Hey guys,

I picked up 2 x Supermicro (Micron) 16GB DDR4 VLP UDIMM 2666 - MTA18ADF2G72AZ-2G6 for my Dan A4 build.
So I tried them out and can't get to POST. I've seen people with InnoDisk VLP UDIMM that seem to work (don't know if it was on my exact board). The seller stated that it should work with desktops (consumer hardware) as well.

So what am I missing? Is it just bad luck that my Asus Z270I doesn't support them? Unbuffered (U)DIMMs can work on a desktop platform right?

Or is it because my i7 7700K doesn't support 2666 Mhz out of the box?

If you have this exact board (or another Z270 board) and a running system with UDIMMs let me know.

Edit:
Asrock for example states: Supports ECC UDIMM memory modules (operate in non-ECC mode)

The board has to have bios support for ECC dimms, ASRock as you have stated are more lenient on their bios support going with support for all sorts of niche case things.
