I currently try to get a 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 kit running at 1600 MHz with an i7-2600K on a Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 board. Sadly, it seems 1600 MHz is not Prime-stable, the test fails after minutes. The memory runs stable 1333 MHz, however.

Are there some specific things I can try to get this working? The last system I invested some time into for overclocking was a Q6600, which had considerable less parameters to play around with.

Pretty much the only things you can try is increasing QPI/Uncore voltage and/or DRAM voltage. Multiple sticks are stressful on the memory controller (QPI/Uncore), so you might need to increase voltage for it to be able to handle the four sticks.

Thanks for your answer. I suppose that exchanging the mainboard will most probably not yield any result here. I already tried to slightly increase the voltages. Maybe I will have to live with 8 GB after all, which should be enough for gaming.
