DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

What are the consenquences if I choose to use a G.skill Trident Z over an lpx ram other than the cpu cooler? Would love the HyperX fury but it's just at 2400 and I'm afraid I might get unlcuky with the ram and not be ablec to oc it to 3200. I'm not into the vengeance I don't like it it's aesthetics.

And is the sf 450 enough for i5 8600k and 1060 6gb? Will start my build this week finally. Thanks :D

It should be plenty ... https://outervision.com/b/TXKcCB

Please, what is this?

Here ...we were talking about the fan under mobo,
...are you talking about the 120 on the cooler?
Yes, it is too big, you should try a smaller one. I hardly recommend you the thermalright ty-100, it is the one that performs better. You can buy it sending thermalright an email.

Thanks a lot pedrofan (y)
at the moment my research phase is suspended,
I find myself very well with the 120, indeed,
I feel so good that I'm thinking of changing GPU,
take a longer and quieter one,
and then abandon the possibility of turning it into AIO to push me further

Since Intel just announced the remaining Coffee lake skus will the 8600 run much cooler over it's k brother or there will be not much of a difference? Should I rather go with an 8500? Gonna use it with a Window panel and Cryorig C7 cooler. Thanks :D

What will perform better in the v2, Noctua l9i with fan duct or Cooltek lp53 with 2.5w a9x14 with fan duct? And how many degrees?

I haven't been paying attention much lately but, the "old" (v1) common wisdom was the LP53+the slim A9 90mm Noctua fan was the best and most available combo. Ducting improves either one I believe. There are a ton of posts in this thread showing temps on all these various setups.

So what exactly happened there? Went from being custom watercooled with a 120 rad to aircooled with sleeved cables?
This case is full of surprise ! :)
Yesterday Water, today Air, tomorrow Water...
...and again and again and again :ROFLMAO:
(the cure)

Did you finish your sleeved cables?

No, not yet, for the custom cables I'll need several days to dismantle all the components, measure everything, make/cut/sleeve the cables, test the new cables and then reinstall everything in the case. This is too valuable "game time" that I'd rather spent gaming now I'll see what the future brings

if anyone has a Zotac card with an Asus AURA sync compatible motherboard, I just did a mod to enable the full rgb
capabilities of the card, not just the 6 or 7 ones in the spectra firestorm utility from Zotac.

Obligatory little video montage with epic music:

Images of the mod in the video description. Enjoy!

Post the review when it arrives :)

Sure. I'm going to be comparing it against the l9i though. That's all I got.
Pretty happy with l9i's performance tho. 8700K 4.3ghz@1.04V getting 60c delta T in prime95 8K in place FFTs 10min run right now.

Got the c7 cu just because copper looks cool :D t's probably going to be 2 weeks till it arrives.

And now that the c7 cu is finally out, just need that silverstone 500w fanless unit to come out.
My build is going to double in weight with both of those in there.

edit:
Wow nice! Is that 8700k delided? I'll prolly grab an 8600. No ryzen asus mitx to be found in my country + still a price premium for 8600k and above leaves me no choice.

It's delidded with CLU inside the IHS, but no other mods.

Good evening I am new on your forum and I have just acquired a dan cases A4-SFX V2. I traveled the majority of this forum and I found a lot of information to guide me to my installation. However even if I could see that some configurations are similar to mine, I wonder about the viability in time.

I give you the components that I want to install.

ASUS ROG STRIX Motherboard Z370-I Gaming.
Intel i7 8700K.
ASUS TURBO-GTX1070 8 GB graphics card.
Power supply BE QUIET SFX L Power 500W.
Crucial SSD MX300 1TB M.2.
SAMSUNG SSD 860 PRO 500GB.
G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 (2x 8GB) 3000 MHz.
Noctua NH-L9i.

I wonder if the noctua is really enough to cool my 8700K, and what vcore I should put in the bios so that it does not heat too much. It's been a long time since I did not have a computer, I spent a few years on laptops. This case I like a lot and I would not kill my components when turning on. If I switch to watercooling that you advise me to take, I think my diet is too big to install the radiator.

Thank you, your forum is at the top.
Ps: sorry for my english ^^.

Done.

7700K (delidded)
TITAN XP
ASUS ROG STRIX Z270I
Corsair dominator 8G*2 3200MHz
Cosair SF600
Samsung 960 EVO M.2 250G
Noctua A9*14 PWM with Alphacool 92mm radiator
Koolance PMP 400 DDC pump
Koolance Tube (ID 6mm / OD 10mm) and fittings
CPU Water block
Aquacomputer Cuplex Kryos NEXT with VISION
GPU Water block
XSPC Razer Neo - GTX 1080/1080 Ti (Chrome + Tempered Glass)
MDPC Sleeving cable (Vanilla sands color small)

I feel sorry for that psu getting blasted by 300-400 watts of heat :(
Interested in how high the water temp is in there while playing a demanding game through. Is that LCD screen reading water temp?

The temperature is not good...(playing Witcher3). GPU is maintained at 60-70 Celsius degrees. But CPU is over 90 celsius degrees in realtemp.
So I have several plans to lower the temperature.
I will come back with detailed temperature data when I get a payday^__^

Is your CPU delidded? Might be a solution if not? (Not sure if you mentioned this already)

thats Sad man, would be cool if it was sufficient.
a Delid on the CPU could work, but still that would give 15-20 degree, still hot af.

The c7 cu just arrived at superbuy warehouse and they sent me a pic of what's in the box. It's going to be on the way to me soon.

For 58 dollars, its the same price as the lp53, but doesn't take 1-2 months to shipf rom Korea.
If it performs the same or better it's a pretty good deal imo considering it fits on motherboards that the lp53 doesn't fit on and also supports am4 out of the box.

Did you but it from taobao?

Did you but it from taobao?

Yeah, superbuy is a middleman for taobao shopping worldwide, if you want to have an easier time. They order for you, have the package sent to their warehouse, send you pics of the package like above and can help you pick a number of courier companies to ship to your location.

You can order directly off the taobao seller using google translate if they offer worldwide shipping too.
