Perhaps. I am idling at 32 C on the CPU, 69 Fahrenheit (20 C) ambient, and I even currently have a space heater on and pointed at my feet/PC case. The PSU fan is not spinning. I wonder if there's a way to measure PSU temp?

Now, I am concerned about my sf600. what is happening? Is there anybody has same situation?
When i use M1 and GTX1060, it doesn't spin for a while even i playing overwatch. Now I am using A4 and EVGA 1080 FTW, the fan spin all day.
I did not OC. So,I thought that reason why is high temp of PSU but your opinion change my mind.

By the way, It has thermistor I think it measure PSU temp backhanded.

Yeah if you have a chance to get some measurements it would be much appreciated. I still have some time since my shipment is showing as delayed. I have to admit that it's killing me having everything sitting in boxes and not being able to put it together yet.

Finally found the reference for the screws I used: "DIN912 M3X20 Black".
 
dondan any news about those "new", better grip case feet, where and when we can buy them? I'm searching for something better for a while but i can't find anything.

Also an update on my last post, testing done. I was really impressed by the results 3-5°C cooler on idle and 8-10°C load with the fan duct vs without. I don't know why it's cooler with the 3D printed duct vs the paper one, maybe because it's a bit larger and covers >80% of the motherboard?

Got my V2 yesterday and moved my hardware into it. I'm having a hell of a time fitting the AIO and EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 in there. I can't close the CPU side panel because the mess of wires from the PSU have nowhere to go, specifically the huge ATX cable. There is no void space when the AIO is installed. Any tips on routing these? Are custom cables the answer?

I just used the Corsair Premium Individualle Sleeved PSU Cables kit (again, search my name in this post, I know it’s a long thread, but all the info is there)

Messy but simple...
You can easily install 120mm fan on LP53.
I don't have A12x15. So did it with 120mm 25T fan for example.
It is not briliant idea, but I hope it helps someone.
 
What do you call these things? Couldn't find them via image search. And is it just a metal tube with attached isolation?
As pendragon1 wrote, you can find butt connectors very easy, they works with Y connections you need!

i think sldr has one a couple pages back, looked like low 70s. look on page 333/334.

Noted. I'll order a set ASAP. I did see you are having temp problems with your m.2. I have mine on the backside and have had some issues with hiccups and slowdowns and could never pin it down. Heat might be my problem as well. I also saw that one guy fit the ek m2 heatsink on the one on the back of the mobo so I might try that as well. And I'll be shoving an 80mm in there somehow to cool the motherboard down.

I also feel like non-stock cables are almost a requirement in DAN A4. I also used the Corsair premium SF bundle, and they were so, so easier to work with than stock, and while they were not crazy short, they had enough length to route them through convenient areas. CableMods can go down to 150mm in their cables which seems best to me if you want a straight shot with no routing.

I agree. It seems that if you are using an AIO, using the corsair premium cables is a MUST. I just ordered a kit from Amazon. Was thinking about CableMods but they are pushing shipping times 4-6 weeks because of facility upgrades.
 
Alright, I'm back with the newest idea to not quite float. I'm thinking of tying down three A4x10 FLXs as intake in some configuration (maybe 2 on the GPU side, 1 for the CPU) to the base of the chassis rather then the top of the chassis as it would be easier to do. Did a half-assed measurement of the vent slots on the base and it seems it would be possible to cable tie these micro fans centred across the slots securely. Any objections to this mounting method?

ive zip tied 40mm fans to mobo vrms so nope i see no prob with this! :) cooling hot spots is always a good idea.

I came home from work and found out my computer was on all day with the damn fan stuck on the radiator. I'm shocked it didn't shut down. It actually burned my finger when I touched it! I ordered the custom corsair cables and a 92mm fan grill but I'm not sure how I'll be able to squeeze that grill in there. There is absolutely no room!

As a side note you can see my second ssd up top resting on the pcie riser cable. It fits perfectly with the lid on.
 
For anyone interested. I'm running a Samsung 960 EVO nvme ssd on the rear m.2 slot of my motherboard and at IDLE my temps are around 86*C WITH the case entirely open. No wonder I've been getting weird slow-downs in windows! Not sure how to resolve this one.
 
I don't know what you are doing. But my 960 EVO has 57C at idle (rear of the MB, case closed). 5min after shutting downing hours (shame on me :p) of The Witcher 3.

That makes no sense to me. How is mine almost 30*C higher than yours at IDLE with everything open? I just ran prime95 on my cpu and the temp of the underside nvme drive went to 97*C max.

What are you using to see the temp? I'm using HWINFO64
 
How are people even fitting the Asetek AIO with the 1080ti FTW3? the tubing/barb is like directly under the backplate and board of the GPU for me and no way is there enough clearance.

It fits for me but barely. I'm hoping the new cables and a fan grill will fix my issue

I'm also using a NF-A4x10 to cool the M.2 NVMe SSD at the front of the motherboard...

Thinking about going this way:

Now I just need a clean way to bend those aluminium rods or find another way to attach the 40mm fan right there above the SSD heatsink...

Hah, even better, the alignment of the screws of the SSD heatsink correspond to the 40mm fan! I'll take this as a sign that they were meant for each other . Now off to search some M1 standoff's so I can attach the fan over the heatsink.

With EK M2 68', but only a quick test, with rig in "frankenstein mood" (more or less like PC-HAngover :))
Able to put 2 M2 with cooler behind mobo, but this curves it a little, it's not the best!:facepalm:
Mobo seems to be the hottest part of this rig, and m2 behind it don't fare well...so cooling better this place it's a target here!

That might work too, but I'm searching for the cleanest solution possible.

Right now that is finding M2 standoffs, so I can use those to attach the SSD heatsink, and then attach the 40mm fan on top of that.

Like one of the first 2 models, but then in the size of the 3rd one..

I've just made another test run with the NVMe. 20min Prime with a relatively low ambient temperatur of 18-19C. Temp read with HWiNFO64
Hardware: Samsung 960 PRO 500GB (no cooler), mobo Gigabyte, 1600x with Noctua L9a (silent mode)
idle at start 36C
max during prime 60C
max after prime 67C
10min idle after prime 51C
Seems like the lowering fan speed after stopping Prime leads to less heat dissipation and therefore additional heat-up of the NVMe

Maybe put a 40mm on the bottom of the case, which pulls fresh air from the bottom and blows it through the small spacing between the motherboard and the central plate of the case?

I would think extra a out having that ssd there.. That is where my case gets hot and the heat is trying to get out. You block the airflow?

Just to confirm, you are using the m2 slot underneath the motherboard? If so your terms are at least 30*C cooler than mine. What cpu are you running?

Yea I debated that but I doubt it would make much of a difference. I may try printing something to funnel air back there it I'll just give up that slot entirely ☹️
