DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

v2 arrived today =) It'll be a perfect match for my v1 on the desk.

Do you have any idea of what additional mounting hardware (screws, ball joints etc) is necessary to attach Duke00's custom side panels to the case? I grabbed the files he posted for the design and will get it made locally. Any help would be appreciated!

There, finished my "I want a front HDMI connector in my A4-SFX for my Oculus Rift" project.

I "manually" made an aluminium USB/HDMI holder and now I can attach the internal HDMI extention cable.

I am getting my OCUK preorder in the next hour :D! I only ordered it on Tuesday I think I got lucky and managed to grab 1 of the leftover Black ones.

Anyone have any experience with the Asetek 545LC? I am thinking about ordering it from OCUK. But I want my build to be fairly silent.

My 545LC will be delivered anytime soon, I have ordered it from their US website.

Grab mine used for 30€, it's HP branded :)
Just dreaming about a dual cooling solution...i'm getting an itx card inside my new build...

I have it in my Ncase build, it is fairly decent, the pump noise is the same as every other Asetek or AIO cooler, if you turn the pump speed down a tiny bit it is inaudible.

And i also just received my Dan Case V2 today, awesome man!
Now i just need the EVGA 1080 ti FTW3 card to be back in stock and i will be moving from my Ncase M1 to this awesome case :)

Did you ever see this image or the components?

A custom loop for the A4?

If I was going to do a custom loop for A4 it would be like this:

Radiator:
Find a slim 92mm Radiator e.g. http://www.magicool.biz/92.htm, the Asetek AIO radiator is less than 40mm thick, (38mm) and this is 43mm so compatibility can be an issue here, since many of the photos of the Asetek AIO inside A4 shows a very tight space between the fan+radiator combo, you could mount the fan outside the case, but mounting thing externally is just meeeh to me.
If that radiator dosent fit i would cut open the Asetek one and use some clamps to tighten the new tubing around the original in and outlet on the radiator.

Pump/Block:
For the Pump+Block GPU i would chose the one from the Fractal Design Celsius s24, it is already expandable and its a low profile which its nice since we only have what 48mm to work with :)

Reservoir:
For the reservoir, i would just put a T-line before the In-take of the pump+block combo to be able to fill the system.

But why would you do this when you can buy the Asetek AIO which is more than enough :)

Yeah just realized that :(
Hopefully you guys in the UK will have it by the weekend.. I'm just going to keep playing the waiting game.

Well mine's made it to England now, UKMail says it'll be here tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be off work sooner rather then later? x)

Thanks for the detailed reply.

I'm after water-cooling the GPU you see, so it has to be custom as all the hybrids are 120mm

Well...
and what about starting with the asetek radiator....plus a tiny pump and a tiny reservoir,
if u see my picture, you can easy go with a 1080 ti mini and have a lot of space to....
;)

Ahh ok, but dont Think that is gonna work, where Will you Mount the pump? And having both GPU and CPU cooled by a 92mm radiator Will not work tbh.
Unless you have a R9 nano card where you could Mount a 120mm radiator in the GPU compartment and a small pump below the PSU.
Else you need to do it external watercooling.
You should stick with an aftermarket Graphic card and the Asetek 92mm aio for the CPU, thats just my two cents

Hey Dan,

I sent you a few kickstarter messages about changing my shipping address. I know its a bit late, but my shipment is in the second batch I figured I could at least try. Please let me know if this is possible, I sent several days ago. thank you!

Wow totally unexpected the postman have just dropped by with the case. (Denmark) As I now plan the move from v1 to V2, I come back to a PSU cable issue.
Do any of you have any experience shortening the Corsair sf450 cables? To sound cheap, the cablemod route is pretty expensive (more than the PSU). Corsair offers a "premium" set for approximately half the price of the PSU, and I was thinking about buying it and shorten the cables myself - mainly because I have been unable to find the standard cables which might be cheaper.

you can get those cables for 25€ on aliexpress

my A4 is comming
now in korea... VGA are unavailable or over priced(EVGA 1070ti is $750 futhermore this thing is used vga)
so i can't get any 2 slot vga

if i uncover left side... Does it fit? Palit 1060 super jet stream.
this is my current VGA

i think it can not be, but even though i want to know fact.

To all the people who plan to use the Corsair SF450 power supply: I have it and I use it together with a 1080Ti FTW3 and an eight-core Ryzen CPU. In general the 450W are more than enough power. The power consumption would be around 370W under full load. If you are into HEAVY overclocking and want to push your CPU and your GPU to the absolute maximum, then there is a slight chance that the PSU won’t handle the load. Mine did an emergency shutdown once, while I was running FireStrike Extreme (combined) with 4,0 Ghz on the CPU and 2083Mhz on the GPU.
I myself prefer to run the CPU at 3,7 Ghz and the GPU @0,8V - 1759 Mhz. Then the PC is extremely quiet, runs faster than a GTX1080 and consumes around 270W.

This. I'm happy to lightly overlock and air cool my CPU; the GPU is where water cooling matters. IMO of course.

Any thoughts on the viability of an 545LC + Kraken G12 in the A4-SFX?

Sure you could do that with no issue :)

Probably, we could water cooling CPU+GPU,

probably we can fit 2 asetek...

probably...

He seems to have destroyed an enermax AIO kit in order to use its block-pump. And then he may have used a typical 92mm radiator and simple tubes.

The block-pump is not sold separately.
