If you want to use Dan's heatsink in future, it's better to not use the Asus Strix as the VRM heatsink will have to be removed to fit the heatsink.Guys which mitx is better fit for the dan case? Asus strix z370i or asrock fatality itx? Thanks

Well I got some aftermarket VRM heatsinks to try putting on after removing the standard ones from the ASUS z170i board for the LP53, if the profiles are similar with Dan's concept cooler the result of that might intrigue you. How useful it is to you really depends how soon the case comes compared to yours I guess. The z170i isn't the complete same design as the z270i/z370i but they share the same fundamentals
Great man wanna get mine built asap. How close are we to sending to OC and caseking ?
I have been following this thread and looking at the z370i boards, and is there some reason why folk are only considering the ASUS or the ASRock and not the MSI Gaming Pro Carbon? I won't have any M2 drives, which seems to be the main selling point of the ASUS Strix board, and if I'm planning to use VR headsets the extra USB ports on the MSI board seem useful?
Anyone know if the A4 window kit is being sold through retail after kickstarter?
oh damn, well, anyone have a window kit they would like to sell? xDI have a memory of it not being sold at retail, except at some place in Japan. Or I could have dreamt it.
i will sell, my entire pack, if you want it....oh damn, well, anyone have a window kit they would like to sell? xD

asus 1080ti strix doesn't fitHello everyone,
I'm pretty new here and i pre ordered the new "DAN A4 V2". Now i'm thinking to buy all the stuff i need for the system but because i'm not an expert i would like to know if my system will run or overheat etc.
Buying list:
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
Power: Corsair SF600 SFX
Mainboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370
GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX1080Ti
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x 32GB
Cooler: Asetek 545LC + Noctua NH-L9i
What i'm worried about is that the CPU will be overheat with the water cooling or that everything will not fit? Any suggestions? Or any help before i will buy all the stuff.
I really appreciate any help. Thanks!

evga 1080ti ftw3 will fitOk thanks. Good to know. Do you know any graphic card what is similar to this one and will fit? And the rest of my system will that work?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Any suggestions for the cooling for the CPU or any other tips?evga 1080ti ftw3 will fit

I hadn't realized there's no way to open the embedded sheet in a new tab.
You can resize the embed but it's a pain.
Maybe put the link to the sheet in the sheet itself just to be safe?

Hi!
I’m a Dan A4 V2 backer and will soon have this great case delivered!
I will use a Ryzen 1600 on Asrock B350 Fatality ITX mobo but not sure what the best air solution would be (and not sure when/if the HSLP-48 will be available)
I guess the obvious choice would be Cryorig C7 or Noctua NH-L9a but would it be better to go for the below options?
1. Cryorig C7 with Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM
2. Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 with Noctua NF-B9 redux-1600 92mm PWM
Is there any better solutions available for Ryzen AM4?
Thanks! / D
I am using the NH-L9a with my 1700X and a ducting mod (basically cardboard to seal off the heatsink from case air.) Gaming is usually in the 55-65 range (more towards 65, but depends on the game) and intense workloads get to 70-75. Everything stock, no OCing. At 75 it does throttle down the cores by about 50-100mhz. Have to say after messing with fan curves it is dead quiet doing desktop work, as in I cannot tell it is on without the light of my GFX card.
I'm sure the Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 will be enough then!
Thanks D-Wiz
Have you tried moving your case away from the wall a bit more? My 1700 runs stock 3.2 all cores at 68° at 2200rpm with a duct when 1" from the wall. When I move it to the middle of my desk it drops to 64° at 1850rpm. This is with an L9a.Glad to help, I had these exact questions when building mine. But I will caution that when all cores are burning away at prime95, my 1700X drops down to 3.2-3.3 @ 75C and the case heats up significantly. I'm looking at ideas for increasing airflow in the case cause that's the biggest problem i'm seeing, maybe something along the idea of a notebook cooling pad, or the top exhaust fans I saw in this thread. But, in day to day use and gaming there's no problem so it's not exactly an urgent problem, but if I wanted to start rendering I would want it.

A guy an a german forum was able to cool a delid 8700k with LP53 + Noctua A12x15 in Prime with max. 85°C in Prime 26.6.
Btw: Today I got the V2 and the Window Kits
Exciting time!!
Does the LP53 with Noctua fan produce the noise turbulence issue like the stock C7 for being too close to the case wall?
