DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

All of them should work for AC but you will need more than one, inside the case won't work (or work very poorly) since the case is a pretty perfect RF shield

I was looking at pictures online to even look for a place to stick those flag-style antenna (they have adhesive on the back), but this thing is ALL METAL. Could stick the flags on the outside of the case, but.... then you have stickers on the back of your case. I also don't know if they would work when connected to metal. That may mess with them. The small black boxes should be fine, since the spec says they were designed to be attached to metal.

So is there anyone else from the US without any indication that a case is coming? Have I just been skipped over?

That's strange. My country is in the bottom five in the list but I already received my shipment number from DHL. Though, the status is still 'The instruction data for this shipment have been provided by the sender to DHL electronically' up until now.

Are we already done with US? Because I have been skipped over as well if that's the case.
I'm in the U.S. and my case seems to have just arrived at an international airport in Germany and the tracking number was just loaded into the USPS system.

Now with the 1080ti out i hope that MSI makes one that is compatible as well with the A4.
Anybody tested a MSI 1070/1080 in the A4 yet? (with the low profile power connectors?)

Nope, there are quite a few of us who hace beem left in the dark. Our $280 case (shipping included) is still hanging out with dondan.

Check your spam-foler. :) I had to check mine, and there it was.
Not there.

I don't even know what the status of my order is. I have no emails to account for what is going on. I have no updates in this forum other than build ideas from other backers. I guess I just have to wait and hope that nothing goes wrong with the shipment.

My last email was sent out on June 30 2016. This is why I've been a little anxious about the whole process. I've been here every day at least 5 times to see if there are any updates. It sucks to have to wait this long and have to dig around in this forum for bits and pieces of information.

The last email that I got was to let me know that my info to include address and email have been changed. I changed my email address to the one that I use on a daily basis just to stop receiving emails. I've checked the spam email box and nothing. I check kickstarter and the the updates are vague. I check here and it's even vaguer.

But! What can I do about it? I messaged dan cases on Kickstarter but again, one person to deal with 1570 backers...he's gotta be backed up. Not to mention that he has a full time job. It would've been nice if he asked for some help. Maybe give out a case to someone who can take care of all of the questions or something.

If that's the case, then something have gone wrong - we recieve all of the kickstarter updates as mails.

I also didn't receive my shipping email. But I contacted Dan on kickstarter and he gave me the tracking link from DHL after a day. :)

Now the case has been sitting in it's box for a few weeks waiting for AM4 mitx boards. Seems like I'll have to wait a little longer though. Can't wait to start building!

Tell me about it.

dondan I haven't gotten any emails since June 30 2016. Is there a way for me to get any updates and or emails or shippjng notifications and or a status on my case? I asked a question on the kickstarter recently but haven't heard anything.

Ca11idus: The Hardforum thread is not the Kickstarter support forum. So i don't look every day in this thread. If you need your tracking link contact me like everybody else on Kickstarter. If you don't get a shipment confirmation mail maybe you entered a invalid email address in the Kickstarter survey. So please send me a valid email address over the Kickstarter message system.

You guys think its possible to stuff 1 or 2 of these RADs in?

Should fit in the bottom at the front (at least looking at the space with my sfx psu). You would likely need to cut the midplate to fit in the dual one if placing it at the bottom of the case.

Whoever recommended those stubby bluetooth/wifi antennas, they're awesome and shipped really fast. Range is great for bluetooth on Asus Strix Z270i. (just like the corded antenna that came with it) I'm trying to eliminate as many cables as possible in my work space. This will be clean for the DAN build.

Did you try to wifi range?

cooljag is shipping me the 115X bracket! They found some extras in the warehouse. That's my final cooler then.... until DAN finishes his and proves its worth.

Nice, glad the BT part of it worked out for you. I agree, it cleans up the build considerably compared to the external antenna contraption the z270i ships with.

Could someone please post the link to the antennas jtcera is talking about, I have a Z170i & I can't stand the long cabled antenna asus packs in with it, are the short stubby ones (lol) better at getting bluetooth range?

No not yet. I have wifi turned off in the bios and can't restart right now. With 300/300mbps fios I'm not interested but for traveling I am. That's why I picked up two of the antennas. Will test in the coming days.

Whats the difference between the ND and the non ND item number? Cant seem to see any change in the idem description

I used the nub antennas for wifi 18ft away from router, one wall in between. 95 mbps. Great to have this option while traveling. The nubs stay.

Same machine gets 300/300 on a fios connection when on ethernet. Ethernet cable disconnected for this test.

Notice even being this close to the router, all 5 bars aren't green. The wall is normal drywall with steel studs. Idk if the steel would have anything to do with it but my phone with an AC wifi radio pulls over 200 mbps down through that wall. Why can't they make nubs with AC radios when my phone has it built in? Oh well, still cool for the DAN case, highly recommended at least for small houses and apartments.

Pretty good performance!

What I'd do to get that kind of internet speed here in Australia though. urgh!
You know a "standard" nominal speed tier is like 12Mbps...

Thanks for the clarification :).

Currently if i buy 2 for $9, shipping is $25 to australia from digikey :(. Need to find it on ebay or somewhere else, at the risk of buying a dud.

Go and ask in an electronics forum like this one: http://www.eevblog.com/forum/
Maybe you will find someone from Australia there who orders from Digikey and can just add the antennas to his order and send them to you. The guy running EEVblog (Dave) is from Australia so there is a chance.
Just ask in the general chat section and be nice to them.
