Noctua: Thank you for joining the party. For the distribution question of the fan clips I can't help you, because I am located in Germany and the shipping costs to US will be high too. By the way I started a new thread with the developing of a heatsink. Maybe Noctua is interested in to work with me on that topic. The current design is based on a Thermalright heatsink because Thermalright has a 100mm fan that will perfectly use the space between I/O area and RAM. But maybe you can design a 100mm thin fan with 82mm mount points too.

For both your questions, I'd say wait a week or two for real-world, unbiased reviews. Theoretical TDP values for 7700k and 1800X are virtually the same but there might always be differences once they are put through the motions including their respective auto-OC features.
Horrocko... unless you are not aware I am part of the PC building community. Patience is not one of our strong suits lol

If only a heatsink existed that was modular where you can add another layer of heatsink or add length to it or add more head pipes....

I double checked and all I received in the box is what's pictured here. Can you please elaborate on the 1151 bracket?

View attachment 17596

check the manual for the 115X position , it should be in the middle

Can anyone answer a simple science question? why are heatpipes in heatsinks not bent to sharper 90 degree angles?

Are you asking why they are bent with a certain radius, instead of just a corner? I believe it has to do with manufacturing. Bends are done on rollers
upload_2017-2-22_16-7-40.png

The smaller the radius of the roller, the smaller the bend. If the roller is too small, it may not be durable enough to handle the force of the bending.

I suspect it also has to do with the stretching/shrinking of the tube, and the materials maximum amount of stretch. I remember from physics class that Copper can be stretched up to a certain amount, until it deforms.

Anyone looking for TY-100 fans can get them directly from ThermalRight or, as previously posted, from nansgaminggear.net.

I contacted both via email and was quoted:

$10 shipped internationally direct from ThermalRight (I assume from Taiwan to the US)
or
$6.99 plus shipping from nansgaminggear.net
Thanks for the info.
Have you contacted thermalright.com or thermalright.de ? Sales or Support ? what is the payment method ?

Woo! I'm part of the elite few who gets his case last...I really hope that this case was worth the wait since 2014. i've spent entirely too much time in this forum waiting for any scrap of news I could get.

Cooljag is being responsive for the 115X brackets. They're working something out for me. To prepare, I've removed Tridentz RAM heat sinks and installed flat copper replacements. I also mounted the 14mm Noctua fan on the cooljag as Dan instructed with the rubber pegs. This method seems very secure and clean. I poked them through the fins with a flathead mini screwdriver until I could grab with needlenose pliers to pull the ball head of the rubber peg through. Then I squeezed the fins back to spec to wrap around the heads of the pegs and so the fins don't look slightly bent.

I just read this, so...
There’s also X300 which is the chip aimed at Mini-ITX boards featuring enthusiast grade designs. Boards based on this SKU will be available around mid-2017.

I contacted Silverstone and asked if they're planning AM4 mounting kits for the AR05. The answer was unfortunately no.

I suggest we all bombard Noctua and Silverstone for AM4 compatibility requests until they break! :D

Noctua actually wrote (in the dan COOLER thread I think) that it was the misguidance from AMD several times that is the issue.

Ah yes. Only Silverstone then. I personally prefer AR05 for performance and looks as well, not a fan of brown fans, blue is sexier.

Hi guys the 4mm motherboard spacer standoffs i bought arrived, i installed them and everything is running smoothly, the Thermalright AXP-100H Muscle fits in perfectly now, no flex on the side panel at all.

i have the m.2 on the back of the motherboard and the riser cable running behind the motherboard and no problems at all.

i got them from here:

http://**************/2lNWQCi

comes in a pack of 100 though lol

Exactly this (it was in this thread).
We are not happy with the delay for the L9 AM4 kit either but we had to play it safe as from the information we had it was either it works or we could throw away the whole production run and the toolings for these parts, plus the need to start all over again. As of today it seems we can proceed with the originally planned solution, which is the reason why I'm optimistic that it shouldn't take us too long to have the kits available.

Soo what was the justification for not using 4mm standoffs in the Dan design? :)

nexus low r2 with axp-100 braket perfect fit in z270i strix. There is no need for modification. However, I showed the same result as C7 in my test. I think a 120 mm fan would have a better result, but it wouldn't fit.
Too sad.
